Towel grades are the culmination of many factors. Each factor below was carefully considered in creating your Lusso towel:

Softness

The softness comes from a combination of the cotton, weave, and weight. We have taken these three components into careful consideration to craft an optimally soft towel.

Absorbency

Much like softness, absorbency comes from a combination of cotton, weight and weave. The trick is striking the right balance of these to achieve a choice level of absorbency. This makes sure the towel doesn't become so absorbent it never dries. These are bath towels after all, not sponges. And that is where the weave comes in. By weaving our cotton a specific way, we achieve harmony in weight versus softness.

Colorfastness

When you buy a red towel, you want it to stay a red towel. Not turn into a pink towel, along with every other thing you own after one washing.

Weight

The only true number that shows the quality of the towel is its weight. Anything lower than 400 GSM (grams per square meter) will be scratchy and thin. Anything 800 GSM or higher will become too heavy with water during use.

Durability

Much like softness, durability is the culmination of cotton, weave and weight. It also is important what care goes into laundering the towel. If made from poor cotton, the towel will produce a large amount of lint when washed. Since that means a loss of weight, the towel becomes less soft and less absorbent. It's important to ensure that the towels are of the highest quality cotton. But even with a high quality cotton, a towel that is poorly woven suffers the same effects. That's why we only offer double pile terry to be able to withstand daily use.
